Free Standing Pop Up Card

A fancy fold card today. This card is easy and fun to make. The only drawback to this card is there really is no place to write unless you do it on the back of the pop up. Oh well, not everything is practical, sometimes CUTE is okay.
On this card I used the 2 step stamping method. It is so quick. The stamps are designed so the base color was stamped in Regal Rose and the second stamp is an outline of the first. I used Rose Red to overstamp. For the leaves, same idea but I used Certainly Celery and Garden Green. I really like those two together as I don't use Garden Green very often. All stamps used are from Stampin' UP. On the box the solid leaf stamp was inked in Versamark and then randomly stamped.

A side view of the card. You can see how there is a slit cut in the top so the pop up portion can slide into it. I've provided a link for the directions however I did adjust the size of the stand up piece.
There are great directions at Splitcoatstampers. This is the card folded down flat so it can be mailed. You'll notice the different colors of the paper. Same card...top two taken with my camera and the last image scanned.
If you have any questions on the instructions drop me an e-mail.
Hope to get a little stamping in later today and it's also my TV night...ER, Survivor & Grey's Anatomy. Too bad they all fall on the same evening.
Yvonne
