Introducing Korben!

Good Morning,
I would like to introduce you to my newest Grandson!  I think he is such a beautiful baby. The top picture he was about eight days old.

I loved the cloud paper. The  clouds are cut from felt and the felt had a protective backing to it that could be pealed away and then it exposed the adhesive. I did cut this with my Imagine - I set it to cut twice to make sure it cut all the way through.

Heaven Sent - I added silver bling to the words and swirls.

The ribbon across the picture also had adhesive already applied to it....that a nice feature...unless you wanted to make a bow. The ribbon just repeat the word "Baby". Click pic for close-up.

The flowers are silk and from Stampin' Up. For the centres I used co-ordinating cardstock and the tool for covering your own brads. Worked like a charm.
I have Mom & Korbens hospital bracelet and the measuring tape so I wanted to incorporate those on a page.
The little silver clip reads "It's a Boy". I think that is a Memory Maker accessory.
Lightly sponged blue ink around the white borders and added light blue faux stitching.
I really wanted to keep the pages blue and white with a touch of silver.
Cartridges Used:
Clouds - Superman
Swirls - Elegant Cakes
Heaven Sent - CTMH - Art Philosophy
Scalloped Border - CTMH - Art Philosophy

Can't wait to share my next pages with you.

Have a Great Day!

Golf Anyone?

Good Morning,
The weather will be starting to cool down a bit soon so golfing will be a little more manageable.

I don't very often make long skinny cards but there were so many cuts I wanted to include that was my only option and I really liked it.

All elements were printed and cut with the Cricut Imagine .
Notice how the word happy is two-toned....a "happy" printing problem. My ink cartridge was getting low on ink but I like how it turned out.
Everything is popped up with dimensionals.
Cartridges Used:
Country Carnival
Vintage Damask
Sports Mania
Paper Dolls for Everyday
Celebrate With Flourish
Cricut Craftroom Basics

Give you a little chuckle for today....I've been going to spinning classes at the gym for about 18 months now and finally decided that I had stuck with it long enough to buy the proper spinning shoes...the ones that clip into the pedals. So Tuesday night I get to class, get my shoes on and actually figure out how to get them clipped in. (My neighbor had sort of given me instructions as she had bought some too). They worked great for the duration of the class but I neglected to get directions on how to unhook them. It comes time to get off the bikes and stretch and Yvonne can't get her shoes unhooked. I figure no problem, I'll wait till the instructor is finished and call her over. Thank goodness there were a couple of people in front of me who stayed on their bikes and kept pedalling. Finally the woman in front of me decided to get off, I watched very closely and then managed to unhook my shoe. I was beginning to have visions of having to undo the shoe and pull my foot out so I could get off! Off to the gym again tonight and I'll practice some more!

Enjoy your Thursday!

Beefcake And Ice-cream

Good Morning,

A little humour for today. A card I sent to one of my nieces.
Made with the Cricut Imagine and Greeting Cards Inside and Out. Very quick and easy.

Schools about to go back in here on August 27th. The previous week-end is tax-free for all school supplies which I think includes clothing so a word of caution - stay away from the malls if you can!
With September nearing I hope to get back posting on a regular basis.

Have a Great Week-end...I'm going to a free music festival Saturday night.

Artist At Work

Hi There,

Still trying to get back in the grove of things. I've had this page done for awhile but haven't posted it.

The pattern paper I bought at Michaels, I think. I actually had it before I had the picture. Xavier loves to paint himself more than the paper. When we were up visiting, Xavier had painted Nana and Poppy to beautiful wooden frames. They are similar in color to his hand painting. I will be putting some photos of him into them for sure and will be displayed with love.

The splats of paint in the background were cut using a sizzix die. Don't use them often anymore but won't part with them...you never know when they will come in handy.

The frame shape was from a cricut cartridge. The cute easel, paint tubes and artist pallet were purchased embellishments...but they were so cute and perfect for the page.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great Thursday.
PS - Don't tell DH but I've got the new CTMH Artiste cartridge coming today. :)
My neighbor came over yesterday and we were designing  to decorate here white canister set.
They are coming along quite well and I'll share when they are finished.

Kick Up Yer Heels!

Morning,

Well we've had some hot days here...the temperature is a good 10 degrees cooler than most of last summer but it still seems awful hot.

This card I'm sending to my Goddaughter for her birthday. Hard to believe she just turned 20! I went to the post office yesterday to mail out the package only to discover the package was one ounce over four pounds. When sending to Canada that makes a big difference. About 20 dollar difference. Brought the package back home to repack. It will be cheaper to take out something that's not breakable and put it into a padded envelope to send separately. So that is one my list of to do today as well as heading to Carter's....Xavier needs some firemen PJ's and they are on sale plus it's double point day.Wonder what other deals I'll find there.....

This card is made exclusively with Stampin' Up products. I really love the boot with the gems.
That's all I've got for today....Have a GOOD one!

Christmas In July

Hi There,

Yea, I know...it's August now! I made it in July. Been so busy with traveling and spoiling the grandkids I haven't been posting...AND I couldn't get feedblitz to work on the I-pad. :(

This card was made using Santa's Village cartridge. Also used shapes from Cricut Craftroom  to cut the ovals.
I really need to get more serious with designing my Christmas cards and oh yes, Halloween will be here soon too.
I was going to mention a while back that Hobby Lobby had their Christmas stuff out mid June! That's just too soon....however if I would have the foresight I could actually get what I wanted rather than choose the leftovers.
I need to work on some scrapbook pages so I can show you Korben (newest GS).
I'm in the process of updating my Gypsy...patience Yvonne patience.
