My Daddy Hung the Moon

HI Crafters,

It's a glorious day here in Texas. Sun is shining, temperature is just right, I made it out to exercise today so life can't get much better unless my family was with me.

So when I don't have that I head to my pictures. This is my newest Grandson, Korben with his Daddy. Taken at about three weeks old. I love how he is so focused on his Daddy.

The background paper I've had for a couple years and it has the word Father is scattered throughout.

I started by photoshopping the colored photo into a black and white.

When doing masculine scrapbook pages I try to keep my ribbons and bows to a minimum...but I also knew I wanted to keep the page soft. The butterflies were cut twice - a shadow layer in a green/brown and the top layer using a pattern blue. Both colors come from Vintage Damask Imagine cartridge. I slipped some rhinestone bling on the butterfly bodies. The base was distressed with Tim Holtz Pumice Stone Ink and the butterflies Tim Holtz Weathered Wood.

The moon is from Everyday Paper Dolls. Pattern paper also from Vintage Damask. Ink distressed with Tim Holtz Wild Honey, chalk for the cheek, stitching for added detail and the star glittered and then the edges inked. Popped up on dimensionals.
The lettering is from Animal Antics. Ink distressed in Pumice Stone.
The swirl in the corner from Cindy Lou Cricut Cartridge. Also inked in Weathered Wood.

I'd like to take this opportunity to thank all of you who read my blog.  I have recently hit 29,000 views. That being said...when I hit 30,000 I think I'm going to have to have some blog candy, so keep checking in.
