A Little Birdie

Hi There,

I went to a scrapbooking crop on Saturday. Actually got two pages done. Will try and share those this week. My son and his family arrive tomorrow. I've been working on some birthday projects. Xavier already had his 3rd birthday a couple of weeks ago but we'll have a second party here. hehe

Mother's Day is just around the corner so the design team over at Creative Critterz Imagineations is sending some inspiration your way.

I wanted to go with a fancy fold card and decided on the Six Fold. Directions can be found at Splitcoaststampers. It's a fun card to make and pretty easy. Using double-sided paper would reduce thickness in the card.

Cartridges Used:
Imagine Blossom - all paper (solid & pattern).
French Manor -birdhouse 2.5"
Lacy Labels - 2.5"
Flower Punch - Stampin' Up
Ribbon & Brads
Rub-on computer generated
Tim Holtz ink sponging

I do have a flower pot card planned for Wednesday so stay tuned.

Lending a Hand

Hi There,

Just can't seem to keep on top of things these days and don't know why. Hmmmm.

Trying to get all my cards I need to mail out for May completed.  This is one I did for a nephew. I used the Zombie digital download from Cricut Craft Room. I came up with my own saying....lame I know. lol The background paper is from Contemporary Nature.
Have a good Wednesday!

Wall-E

Happy Friday,

This card is for Xavier when he gets here in a couple of weeks. Xavy turned three last week-end but Nana is planning a second birthday for him when he arrives.  His favorite stuffed toy is Wall-E so I thought this would be a perfect card.

I must confess I bought the cartridge just so I could have Wall-E. Well Eva is on there too plus some other Disney characters. This little guy was cut at 5.5" and I probably wouldn't try cutting him any smaller. There are so many little pieces and lawyers.
I got him a really cool toy also for his birthday and I will post pictures and or video of that once he plays with it. lol Nana has a bit more shopping to do though as we'll need a few other play things while he's here. (If Mommy or Daddy are reading this......bring Xavier's suitcase large and  empty).

Have a Wonderful Week-end.

Butterfly Kisses

Good Morning,

Very quick post this morning.
So onward with our Spring Theme. Do you recognize the cartridge I used? Nursery Tails. Just a reminder to take a second look at those cartridges. I did add a little inking around the scalloped border but other than that I didn't change a thing.

I love popping up the wings for dimension.
Just to let you know I'm working on some special cards. Special folds and cool shapes.

A Bouquet For You!

Good Day Crafters!

Sorry I've been away so much but I did have a great time visiting with family. Lots of laughs and stories. I'm back to my craft room now so have some projects to share with you.
Over at Creative Critterz Imaginations  we've had lots of great ideas using recycled items for our projects and this week we are moving right into a Spring Theme. Yeah! I love spring. This is such a cute project and sits in my entryway.

Cartridges Used:
Digital Pinwheel- 3", 3.75" & 4"
Flower Shoppe - 2 1/2", 3", 3.75"
Floral Emporium - flood filled both pinwheel and flowers
Imagine More Cards - Butterfly - 1.5"
Art Nouveau - printed on vinyl - 1"
Used straws to attach 3-d items to. I also used the straws that have the bendable part in them. Usually used for kids. That way I could tip and move the flowers/pinwheels into place easier.
In the bottom of the pail I put the clear pebbles you get at Michaels or Walmart. Makes the pail more stable and gives your straws support.
Pail purchased after Easter at Randalls and the ribbon retired Stampin' Up. Brads from my stash.
Keep checking back for more Spring Inspiration.

A Birthday Wish

Good Morning,

Hope everyone had a wonderful Easter. Mine was egg-stra good. My brother and sister-in-law are down for a visit. Saturday we spent in Galveston and yesterday driving around the country side followed up with splashing in the pool. Life is good.

Today's card is for my SIL. Her birthday is today. The card was made using Lori's Garden cartridge.
Love the the color on this cartridge, very soft and springlike. The butterfly and bird I layered but the doily was cut as one layer. I added lots of little pearls for added effect.

The plan for today is the two of use are heading to an outlet mall. Should be another good day. lol

Black & White

Good Morning,

Today was supposed to be my final Easter Card....but....I guess I didn't take a picture of it before I mailed it out. :( Only my DS and DIL will get to see it).

So instead I have a very quick card. The wolf head is black embossed on white. Layering colors black and grey. All supplies are Stampin' Up. We made this at a class a couple of months ago.
Easter week-end is close. My brother and his wife are arriving tomorrow for a few days. Looking forward to the visit.

Happy Easter

Recycle Time

Hi There,

Are you ready for Easter? If you're needing some inspiration just check out the projects featured at Creative Critterz Imaginations for the last two weeks. Lots of great ideas!

Moving forward we are now creating something that we recycled for EARTH DAY.

I choose to go back through my paper scraps and make a card out of them. Even the card base was precut and folded. I must have had plans at one time to use it but it just never happened.

The cake is from the Yummy cartridge. I cut it out a while back for another project but it was too small so I just saved it.
Pattern Paper - Elise Cartrige I was probably trying out my Imagine when I first got it just printing some pieces of paper.

The flower and label are from a punch.

You can see my scrap pieces I had to work with. There were lots more but I sorted them into like colors/patterns that co-ordinated before I started the project.

It was fun to create with a limited amount of product. I still have lots of pre-printed paper so I think I'll try making a few more cards and reduce, re-use and recycle what I have.
