Good Morning,
I had a little fun making all of these cards. A few days back I posted one card using the same stamp set. Today I'm sharing the rest of the cards I had done. I tried to have different colors and card designs. You don't want to get bored doing the same card over and over.
This card I cuttlebugged the white background and layered onto a purple. Then used my nestability to cut out the centre. Those two layers are popped up with dimensionals to give a picture frame effect. Added a few stickles to the white area to make it sparkle. All of the mice have glitter on their wings.
Changed up the colors. Oranges and greys...I think I like it. Background was cuttlebugged using the distressed strips. I like the folder and should use it more. The stripes made me think of candy canes.
Swiss dots for the background. My SU scalloped border punch to decorate the bottom. Stamped sentiments layered up on the right side. Kept everything in the two tones of blue. Did try sparkling the snowflake and also stamping it on white cardstock and neither option turned out well. Also all images were colored with copic markers.
The last few days I've been busy cleaning out the garage. I'm learning how to post on Kijiji. lol I'm pretty amazed at how quickly stuff sells.
Today will be more organizing and I hope to go to my craft room for a little bit.

1st photo shoot
Good Morning,
A new week...Got any big plans? Vacation perhaps.
Sunday we drove over to PEI to see Xavier. Lots of driving but well worth the trip. Managed to squeeze in two bottle feedings. The little guy is really growing. This trip he didn't have quite as many smiles but he sure talked a lot.
Sharing a scrapbook page today. When Xavier and Mom & Dad came over for a visit in July we kidnapped Xavier and took him off to have his picture taken. lol We actually did it while we convinced Mom & Dad they should go to a movie. You know, there isn't much time between eating, sleeping and getting to the photographers to catch the time frame where he wants to smile. We did get some though.
We have another pose of Xavier on his tummy and we also had pics taken of the three of us. So cute. This scrapbook page is for Xavier's monthly calendar and I'll do up a couple of pages with the other photos for my scrapbook of him. I will share the pics just not yet.
Pretty simple page as the pattern paper does most of the work. The cricut machine was used on the lettering and I cut strips of cardstock to match the pattern paper to frame the picture. The line of pattern paper is Baby Safari. I had started out with using paper from "My Little Yellow Bicycle." I cut the paper and then didn't like how it went together. I had originally bought that paper for another page, now I'm hoping I can make it work for something else or I'll be on a hunt for another piece. I've checked the local stores and don't see it so I maybe making a trip to Antigonish to the Stamp & Scrap as I'm pretty sure they have it there.
Busy day today. Cleaning, laundry, banking, delivering stuff, picking up my glasses.
Don't YOU work to hard today and I'll check in tomorrow.

House Mouse Christmas
Good Morning,
Posting two days in a row...I must be on a roll. lol
The weather is giving ample opportunity to be in the craft room. Yesterday I did do a scrapbook page. Not glued together yet but probably today. Need to give it some time to make sure it is exactly as I want it.
Still in coloring mode. These little guys are so much fun to color. I have three more colored in different colors and just designing different cards around them.
I find the shape of the image a little more difficult to deal with as the image is almost too large for your standard 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 card.
I used non-tradional Christmas colors, cuttlebugged the background with snowflakes and added stickles for some bling. The wings are done with 2-way glue and dazzling diamonds. Martha Stewart punch for the border on the right and the sentiment is embossed with platinum embossing powder. I like the look that color gives with the card. Both colors of cardstock - Misty Mauve and Mint Green have long since been retired colors from Stampin' Up. The ribbon is just from my stash and had an iridescent sparkle to th edge.
May head downtown today and see what's going on down there. No doubt I forsee coffee and a cinnamon bun in my future!
Enjoy your Saturday - prediction for Sunday - possibly sun.

Chalks
Good Morning,
We had our gals crafty night on Tuesday and this is one of the projects that we did. Val designed the project using chalks. I always enjoy chalks - you can do lots of different techniques as well as they are very forgiving.
I didn't complete my project on Tuesday night so I wanted to post it today to show the gals I did finish it. Most of the gals made it into a wall hanging by adding some ribbon. It looked great but thought I would prefer it as a card.
A couple of side notes. I have old editions of Stampin' Up cattys if anybody wants them for inspiration that I'm giving away as well as Stamping and Scrapbooking magazines. You can only horde this stuff for so long. So if anybody would like some free stuff send me an e-mail. Make sure you type in your e-mail address cause blogger does not show me your e-mail address and if you sign it with just your first name I may have more than one person on my contact list by that first name!
Lastly if you are into blog candy you can check out Mommy Scraps Alot for your chance to win. Entry deadline is July 24th.
Stay tuned for more cards tomorrow.

Christmas In July
Good Morning,
Hope everyone is enjoying their summer. Sunday & Monday were great days here. Spent Sunday driving to Antigonish for coffee and lunch. Thanks Bob & Pam.
Monday was spent a little outside and a little inside. Doing some junk sorting and will need a garage sale when it's all done.
We've had a challenge with our monthly stamping gals group. The challenge was to make a Christmas card. These cards are done using Stampendous stamps with the Precious Moments images. They are so cute to color.
I've also been working on House Mouse Christmas images and will share those soon.
Over to the Cutting Garden this morning so I will catch up with all of you soon.

Roses In Summer - What Summer?
Good Morning,
Ok, I think I'm starting to lose my "haha" if this weather doesn't change soon. I need a little warmth and sun. I checked the 14 day forecast (yes, I know it doesn't really mean anything as they can't usually forecast accurately for 24 hours but I did it anyway) and the forecast is more or less the same. Alright I had my little vent and I'll move on.
I dug out a very old stamp. Stamp made by PSX. They had put out a whole series of these stamps featuring different flowers. I remember there was a gorgeous pointsetta. I'm pretty sure somebody from the Antigonish group of stampers owned that one!
Once again colored in with copics. I know, I'll get off the coloring kick soon and move onto something else. I also seem to have a thing for orange the last few cards. The first card is using Pumpkin Pie and Summer Sun cardstock while the second card used the new Dusty Durrango and the old Groovy Guava.
What's everyone else doing for the week-end? I'm thinking about heading off to the new craft/flea/farmers market that just opened. It down at the Dartmouth waterfront or close by there somewhere. It's now open every Sat. & Sun from 9:00 - 5:00. Might vary my routine too and go somewhere different for coffee this morning. I'm feeling in a rut.
Has anybody been working on their Christmas cards yet? I'm just full of good cheer this morning. lol I've got a few done this week. Mainly the images colored in so I'm still going to have to figure out the rest of the card.
I think that covers my Saturday.
Enjoy your week-end.

Fifth Avenue Floral
Good Morning,
I had told you I was going to post something yesterday afternoon and I had good intentions, however I ended up with a terrible headache. Bad enough I napped in the afternoon and pretty much stayed on the bed all evening. You know I wasn't feeling well when I didn't even go into the craft room. But I'm feeling much better this morning.
Todays cards are from Stampin' Up. The set is called "Fifth Avenue Floral" and co-ordinates with the Manhatten flower embossing folder. Included in this set is a rose, another flower I can't identify, a stem and a sentiment.
The flowers were colored using copic markers. I used Nestabilities to cut my circles and the ticket corner punch to notch the corner on the sentiments. The stamens on the flowers were glittered and I used black sparkle embossing powder on the sentiment to connect the two. Pattern paper was from Costco.
The second card I again used my Nesties but I taped two of them together so I could cut them out at the same time. I was able to get a thin circle to glue to the outside to the card and at the same time cut out the centre. By using the tape it prevents the metal dies from moving around and slipping out of place. For some machines you can purchase a magnet plate to hold everything in place but I find tape works well. The paper I used is new from Stampin' Up. It's paper of the In Colors for the year. I quite like the orange which is called Dusty Durrango and the other is Soft Suede. To make the pattern background I stamped the lily in the soft suede all over the Dusty Durrango. I used a border folder and cuttlebugged the strip across the bottom and then sponged Soft Suede ink all around the edges. It softened the color of the orange. On this card I used Glitter Ritz on the stamens. It's not as chunky as the glitter on the first card. Gold embossed the sentiments and added a little gold cording for some extra interest. The lily itself is raised up using dimensionals.
Thanks for stopping by today and I hope to see you tomorrow.

Been Awhile!
Good Morning,
Well it has been awhile since I've been around to update my blog. As you can see I had other priorities. Xavier was over for 6 days and it was so much fun. He's such a little sweetheart, but of course I'm not biased.
I got him a little exercise saucer and a playmat. He still hasn't figured out exactly what those hands are for but does not if he waves them around things happen.
He's not quite big enough to sit up on his own in the exercise saucer so I tucked blankets around him and he was quite happy to sit there for half an hour.
I will have some really good photos coming soon. Grampa and I kidnapped him and went and had pictures done. That was fun. We had photos taken of just him and then the three of us. Should get those back next week.
The last couple days I have been working on some new cards to post. I just need to take the photos of them. Hopefully that will happen sometime today. I'm heading to the Cutting Garden this morning so it will be later.
Check back later today for something new.

Bright & Cheery
Good Morning,
TGIF - Makes you cheery even if the sun isn't shining. Tomorrow Xavier comes to visit for a few days so I may not be at the computer or my craft room as much. Though after he leaves I should have lots of pictures to keep me very busy. lol
DS & DH are going to be making that little boy an actual crib now since he has outgrown his craddle. Mommy and me are going to be using the cricut to make animals and ABC's for his walls. Should be lots of fun.
Went and picked out my glasses yesterday and ordered them. Now I'm second guessing myself. I hate it when I do that.
Also went to a purse party last night. I bought a rather large bag...I'm sure I'll never find anything in it but it was kind of funky. Maybe it will go with the new glasses. Don't have any pics of it yet but will try to take some next time the camera is out and share.
Enough chit chat and onto the project. The stamps used on this card are old. Both I believe are from PSX which is no longer in business. Once again the images were colore in with Copic markers. Dew Drops for the centre. Background is Cuttlebugged. The colors used are Pumpkin Pie and Kiwi Green or Old Olive. Bold anyway.
Speaking of bold...have you seen the new "In Colors" from Stampin' Up. They are bold. This year SU added markers in the In Colors. Back to task at hand...this is a large square card but I din cut about 1 3/4" off the front right side to reveal the words on the inside of the right side. I also wrapped three rows of ribbon around the green strip. I had it done once with black and orange and everytime I looked at it it made me think of Halloween. lol Couldn't leave it like that so I had to take it apart and re-do it.
Well a few things on the agenda today. Going over to Sobeys and see what they have left in their garden centre. Hopefully all the good plants aren't gone. I wa going to go yesterday but ran out of time.
