Life's Little Moments

Good Morning,
A wonderful scrapbook page for sharing today. DIL and little grandson. He's about 20 months in this photo. Don't get too many pictures of Mom & son....Mom usually has the camera.
I did use lots of different techniques on this page.

Cartridges Used:
Elegant Edges - large scallop designed
Blast Off - all pattern papers, title and solid paper
Graphically Speaking - Life's Little Moments
Life's A Beach - coral, crab, sandcastle
George & Basic Shapes - circles

Sandcastle - all pieces cut out of cardstock

I used a product called MuddPuddles to texture the cardstock. It is sand with glue in it. Pretty easy to use. The flags are coated with glossy accents for a glossy shine. Small black pearl at the top of the flag pole.

The crab cut from red cardstock and clear embossed to give a shiny look.Small beads for the eyes.

Coral covered in glitter.

Orange gems added to project to give a finished look.

All That Glitters....

Hi There,

I know it's the week-end and I don't usually post on Saturday but I want to enter this card into a couple of challenges before the deadline.

Before I get to details on the card I just wanted to share on a personal note I saw some ultra sound pictures of the new Grandbaby. Boy has technology come a long way. The little hand and feet were so clear. I will be doing a scrapbook page for sure.

Gold & Diamond stickles on the pot. Green gem on the clover.

Love all the glitter. After I cut out the image I run it through a Xyron machine to sticky the front and

then pour the glitter over the paper. Works great.

Just For You!

Good Morning,

I'm on the fly this morning....heading to the gym.

Love the pattern paper on this card. All products are Stampin' Up! Flower is a die cut. So much better than the days we cut them out by hand. I actually enjoyed the cutting!

Will be playing in the glitter this afternoon so will have another crafty project to share soon.

I'm so glad to be back today. I really enjoy creating projects for the Creative Critterz Imagination blog. Our theme over there for the next two weeks is St. Patrick's Day!

This week over at Cricut all the digital craft room images are 20% off! I'm a circle member and get another 10% so figured I'd get the St. Patricks Day release. Click here to view the content (there are 6 images). There are other cartridges out there that have suitable images such as Designer Calendar, Paper Doll Dress Up.

Todays card is interactive. It's called a view finder card. Directions can be found at Splitcoaststampers. You remember when we were kids and we would put this thing up to our faces like binoculars and you'd pull a little leaver and the picture would change....same idea here ....turn the wheel on the right and the saying will change. I wrote four different sayings on the wheel that rotates. Happy Birthday!, Happy St. Patrick's Day!, It's 5 o'clock somehwere!, Whatever! The card is for my friend who's birthday is on St. Patrick's Day.

My background paper was created using the Imagine and CCR. Filled a 6 x 6 inch square with green from Blast Off and then using the shamrock image from Paper Doll Dress Up I randomly placed shamrocks over top. Click here for a video tutorial on creating background papers.

Sponged ink on the edges of the glass for depth. Placed vellum behind the holes.
Don't you love the foam on the beer? Squeezed Puffy Paint over the cardstock and allowed it to dry a while. Then I heat the image with a heat gun. The heat causes the paint to puff up.

You can see the different saying in the window.

I used gold and diamond stickles to accent the pot of gold and well as a rhinestone on the clover.

I did use punches/spellbinders for making the scalloped circles.

This is what the foam on the beer looked like before it was heated. If you heat it as soon as you apply it the end result will look more like popped popcorn. The more you leave it dry when heated it still puffs up but with more bumps. Just experiment! If you don't have a heat tool your hair blower might work or if you have a tool in the garage that you use for taking off wall paper it will work to but be careful cause those get really hot.

All images were printed and cut with the Imagine.

Here's the scrapbook pages I've been working on. Back at Halloween I posted pictures of Adam and Xavier in their costumes. There's a tiny pictures of Steph as Sally here too. Steph took great pics of the boys but didn't get any of herself. Somebody from their work snapped the picture but not enough pixels to make it larger.

The 12 x 12 purple piece was sponged with ink  to create a mottled look.

Border on left cut twice at 11" with Elegant Edges and the swirl at 1". I used the book feature

on the cartridge. The swirl was part of the border but I utilized the hide contour feature on CCR but if you have a gypsy it can be done there too.

Frame cut at 6.75" - Fancy Frames

Tickets - Wall Decor at 1"

Now Showing - Wall Decor at 1.55"

The Nightmare Before Christmas - Art Nouveau at .9"(love the font on that cartridge as you can cut it quite small and the letters still come out nicely.)

Bats - Happy Hauntings at 1.25"- black glitter cardstock

This was Xavier first Halloween Trick or Treating. You went out with his three little cousins. It took him a couple houses to get used to saying "Trick or Treat" instead of "More candy please".

Happy Valentine's Day!

Hi There,

A little chocolate for you this morning without the calories!

I made 36 of these cute little purses to share today at the gym. I know kinda counter productive but everyone deserves a treat once in a while.

They were all printed and cut with the imagine.

I just used the 3D bonus content on Imagine More Cards. Purse cut at 4" and holds two hersey kisses.

Each purse had to be scored so it would fold nicely. Punched a hole in the end to

feed the ribbon through. One glue dot to hold the purse closed and a little rhinestone for the clasp.

Stamped "For You" on the front. The first eight missed getting stamped as they were already assembled when I decided on the extra touch.

Just My Type

Good Morning,

Do you have your card made for that someone special?

Been feeling a little under the weather the last couple of days. One of those feels like a sore throat but not really.

I've been working on a double page layout so hopefully I'll have that to share soon. And yes, it is of Xavier. By summer I'll have another grandbaby to scrapbook for. Yahoo!

Yesterday I did head over to a local scrapbook store - I'm looking for Scrabble 12 x 12 paper. It was manufactured a long time ago so I probably won't be able to find it unless it's in the discontinued bin. After taking a few wrongs turns I finally made it there. Memory isn't what it used to be or I need to go there more oftern. That must be it! It has been a while since I was in a REAL scrapbook store verus the big chains. There were so many cool items but I have you know I didn't purchase ANYTHING.

A quick card today. Made with all Stampin' Up products. This was from the card class I did with Terri Mills. I'm always impressed with her classes. All the paper is cut to size - yes that is important for me as everything has to be exact.

Well I think I'll try and get to the gym today. Getting out always makes you feel better or at least while other parts of my body are screaming at me I'll forget about the throat!
