Wicked!

Good Morning,

I had planned on posting this yesterday but something was wrong with Blogger and I couldn't access my blog to post! Oh well....

Image and pattern paper cut from the Imagine.

Cartridges Used:
Audrey for background paper.
JT Art - dragon
I think there is about 5 layers to the dragon. Foam dimensionals used between layers. It turned out really neat.

Hope everyone is enjoying their week-end. Be sure to check back tomorrow as there will be another new reveal from Cardabilities.

See you then!

Time

Good Morning,

This morning I'm trying to work with Adobe Photoshop. I know what I want to do but....having trouble achieving it. I really need to read through  the manual and work with all the features in a prescribed order instead of just trying to pick out what might work. There's a lot to learn in the big book "Photoshop Elements 7 for Dummies"

You would think if they are going to call it for "Dummies" perhaps they should have condensed it more cause we don't have that big of an attention span.

This was the second year Kristen climbed the CN Tower in Toronto. Yep she did beat her time from last year by 1:20 minutes.

I had pattern paper with a variety of clocks on it and thought it was perfect for the occassion. Used the cricut and cut out a clock face and various clock hands to embellish around the layout.

The grayish paper is co-ordinations. The border was crimped and the ridges sanded to add a varience of color. Distressed the edges a little with Tim Holtz Pumice Stone ink.

That is a picture of the CN Tower but it was a foggy/rainy day. Good thing you climb on the inside, however, she did still have to get downtown to the tower.

The was the sketch I choose for inspiration from Sketchabilities. I changed a few things but that's what a sketch does, gives you a starting point and then you make it work for you.
Be sure to click on the link above if you want to check out other ideas using this sketch for more different sketches.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Last One - I Promise

Hi There...

Last one of my train cards to share. Pretty straight forward. The pattern paper was double-sided so you can see the large diamond and the smaller piece behind the train. The smaller piece was muted blues/grays together. It was embossed with the diamond cuttlebug folder and then the top was lightly sanded. Just wanted to accent the ridges.

Used some 1/2 circles to stamp into. I had put the black brads on the left so balanced it out on the right with some black ribbon folded over as a loop and attached under the train cardstock.

Just a reminder to play along on the Cardabilities Sketch and you could win a great prize or have a chance at being a guest designer on Cardabiltities.

Tomorrow is a scrapbook page day!

See you then!

Another Look

Good Morning,

I've been busy this morning. Got my swim and spin class completed. Already for Friday Night Out! lol

So today is our second look at this stamp set.

You can find the directions for making this card over at Splitcoaststampers. Similar cardstock and paper used as yesterdays card however I did use a Just-Rite stamp for the sentiment. I really like this set of stamps as there are about 8 - 10 different birthday sayings. They are of a nice small size as well so they don't take up a whole card front.

Give this card a try it really is very easy to make.

If I don't check back in before Monday  - Happy Mother's Day to all of you!

Happiness Is A Journey

Good Morning All You Crafty  People!

May seems to be a month that I have a lot of birthdays of the male species. I always struggle a little bit more on my creativeness with their cards. I probably have about 8 or less masculine themed stamp sets and I am tiring of using them. Maybe the recipients are getting tired of receiving them. What am I thinking...they won't remember what I sent last year. lol

So I've used a stamp set from Stampin' Up - Happiness Is A Journey. I have actually made three different cards using that stamp set and will post them over the next week.

Cardstock - Co-ordinations
Pattern Paper - Costco stash. It is double-sided. The green is the opposite side to the pattern.
Train stamped with SU Basic Grey and clear embossed. Had to be really quick on the embossing as this is a dye based ink.

Crimped the piece of grey co-ordination cardstock and then lightly sanded the ridges.
A couple metal brads for that chunky male look.

Last Sunday we went to a baseball game. Houston Astros playing the Milwaukee Brewers. The Astros won 5-0. Yeah. I'm not a big sports fan but do enjoy the games live. DH was surprised by my loud cheering. lol
And yes....I had beer, hot dog & peanuts.  It was a ball game!

Thanks for stopping by and your comments.

Set Sail

Good Morning,

Well this was an exciting week-end. I am happy to announce there will be a wedding in the future.

Joel proposed to Kristen on Friday and she accepted. Welcome to the family Joel!

I was going to have a stamped card made for today but it just didn't happen but I do have another cricut card to share.

Green & Blue cardstock - co-ordinations.
Embossing Folder - Bubbles
Cricut Cartridge - Wall Decor - It has a border feature as well as a single icon feature.
Border, Life Preserver & Pattern Paper - Imagine More cartridge

Have a list of things to get done today. It's Monday and a fresh start on the to-do list. lol
