Good Morning,
Monday and a sunny day, who could ask for more. I have a hair appointment this morning, early so I'll get that out of the way and then be able to enjoy the rest of this fine day.
Had a great Sunday. Went for a drive yesterday and got a bit of a sunburn but it was so nice. Stopped out at Masstown Market. That place is always soooo busy. There is supposed to be a cheese factory not far from there. Does anybody know the name or address? I would like to stop in. Also had a Stampin' Up workshop last night. Lots of fun! Thanks Ladies.
The next couple of posts have double duty. One, they are cards that will be done in class at the Cutting Garden and second they are also for a challenge on Caardvarks blog. The challenge this week is 3-D or interactive projects. There are some great ones already posted on their site.
This is an interactive card. It's called a View Master card. We all remember those view masters we had as kids. A few posts ago I talked about black & white TV well my view master slides were black and white too. lol If you look at the second post you can see how the type of seashell has changed. There are a total of four different images that you can see through the hole. This card was a little time consuming but it was the first time I've ever done one of these. I've always seen them just never took the time to figure it out. The card itself actually looks better in person. The pattern paper was a bit of a challenge to figure out how to use it with this type of card and also find stamps that would work with it. The sample is already at the store if you're wanting to take a closer look.
Have a great day and get outside. There are never enough summer days for me.
Yvonne
Wonderful card Yvonne! I don't think I have ever made one of those. Maybe I'll give it a try.

ReplyDeleteThat Dutchman's Farm is the cheese place - haven't been but have purchased great gouda from them at markets. Love Masstown Market - head down the road alittle farther to Great Village Antiques - plan to spend awhile if you like that kind of place http://www.greatvillageantiques.com/
What a fun, "retro" project! This takes me back a while... we used to have these kind of cards/books when I was a kid!
ReplyDeleteHow FUN! Great interactive card and a perfect fit for the 3D challenge at 'Varks! :)
